The first passenger airliner has been reconstructed.

The builders plan a transatlantic flight in August -- something that has been attempted three times with this model and never succeeded; the first pilot to attempt it was in fact lost at sea.

Was that supposed to go to a video, or an article with a video?

also, why are these people so dumb as to attempt this?

Transgender woman assaulted at McDonald's for using the women's restroom

That blog post links to an original (somewhat less SFW) post as well as the McDonald's feedback form. I personally won't be spending any money at McDonald's until I know what they're doing in response to this situation.

I found the video extremely upsetting, of course; your mileage may vary, but be warned that it is very violent.

That is god awful. I wrote in via their feedback. THe most reponse I could find about it on facebook from the company was *ONE* comment buried in hundreds of complaints about the incident, and mentions of how people's posts about it kept getting deleted.

Hm...they do seem to have posted something on their website about it, at least. But still, absolutely awful, and not that I go there much anyways, but I'm not going again now.

McDonald's tweeted this morning that they terminated the employment of the man who uploaded the video (and warned the assailants to get away before the police arrived, and later mocked and verbally abused the victim online) and will be pursuing disciplinary action as appropriate against the other employees involved. Steps in the right direction, at least.

Two videos about things going horribly awry:

Welcome to Little Chef! Where the chefs are kids, and the adults stay out of the kitchen!

(NSFW) A tale of Lovecraftian horror...or a sex ed class gone very wrong.

I'm adding a clause about this to my will. Do not stick me in my own severed head, or any replica thereof, or any replica of any body part belonging to me or anyone else.

Whereas I will be insisting on it. Although really, I want it in a crystal skull.

Look, if my ashes are ending up in any head-shaped object, it'll be my own skull. They'll be mixed with gold and used to plate the thing and hold various precious gems so I can rise again as a demilich.
